Electronics are expensive, so are genuine designer clothes.

Hotels prices arent too bad, what sort of money would I pay for a monthly rent on a basic one bed apartment (secure)?

I'm a normal bloke, early 40s, like partying, girls etc Enjoy walking, seeing places of interest, sports. I know my way around the main tourist spots in Thailand so comparisons appreciated.

Can anyone recommend a book studying any of the great conspiracy theories?

Any will do Kennedy, Titanic (except for the 2 by Gardiner), 9/11, Yorksire Ripper etc

Only thing is it must be quite indepth and half believable. Am not looking for one of these books that have a chapter each on different ones or an author who is just twisting everything to suit his purpose.

Kicking off a trip in CM late next month and want to be based in the entertainment centre ( Is this the old town?? ).

Any recommendations regarding guest friendly hotels for the first couple of nights and even better - apartment or condo blocks to visit with a view to monthly rent.

Not looking for anything flash, just a secure one bedroom base with AC hot water.

By entertainment area I mean smack bang in the middle of the agogo / beers bars and discos.

Also any tips for bars and university student hangouts would be appreciated.

I've had a look around the internet at various sites and everything seems very spread out (looking at maps), obviously its not Bangkok but the centre seems a fair bit bigger than the main strip in Pattaya?

I always head over to Thailand for the UK winter, and always get stuck in Pattaya. Seriously thinking about heading North straight from BKK this year.

Never heard a bad word about the place (but normally from couples who go up for the rest from Patts).

Rock music picture, lead singer/star was an big American bloke, with long curly hair.

Pretty low budget film, I did a little bit in a couple of bar scenes, can't remember the name of film, but the big yank was quick to tell me '' its a Rock movie ''.

Any ideas please? Love to see if my drunken extra work made the cut.
