What do we bring back to Europe from Thailand nowadays?

Don't mean class A drugs from the Triangle or 1,000s of cigarettes. Or football shirts and market stall designer copies. Not even a wife or std.

Where's the value in Thailand shopping to bring home?

Electronics are expensive, so are genuine designer clothes.

TIA

The old stile printed silk is nice. Thailand did not keep up in the printing of silk so now has a cheap surpluss of such. But that is changeing. Walk the side street stalls and small shops. Not the bigger markets. Lots there to buy. Many small starving artest in Thailand with things to sell. And the back flee markets. Not the ones on the main streets. Leather is good crocodile from there.

Thailand unique items are all kinds of silks, gold jewelry over the counter as a way to buy gold, and tailor-made suits. All these things must be purchased with care, but good quality is still a bargain in these categories.

I bring back many things, especially silk products. I had a custom made bedspread made that I designed.

But I must admit right up front, I take them back to America and not to Europe.

With any luck, you will bring back some happy memories. Although you may have to be discreet about sharing them.

(I know someone who brings back packets of erectile dysfunction drugs to sell to his pals.)

most visitors to thailand come back with an empty bank account, one or more std's ( sometimes even a baby ) and a broken heart.

more hard core visitors may go back with a meth habit and/or an alcohol problem.

    Amazing Thailand.
