-An "aggreement" to cut a record 1 trillion dollars from the budget (*with republican pressure) ---shows he's a pragmatist not an ideoligist should be a vote winner with the undecided vote

-created more jobs in 2.5 yrs than any other president in their first term

Yes the economy is still struggling as is expected after the mess he had to fix. And with two mormon front runners one who worked for Obama (Huntsman)-- (*not christians*-just for those who hated against obama because of rumors that he wasnt a christian), a govenor that left his state with a billion dollar budget deficit (tim pawlenty), a womanizing good-ole-boy (Gingrich) and a bunch of jokers (Bachmann, Paul, Cain)

How can he loose?? - then again we've made some dumb choices before (Carter, Bush)

I have a Masters in Financial Mathematics but currently working as an economist. I plan on dong a DBA in the future but in the mean time should I do a second masters in economics or do a postgraduate certificate in economics?

It just seems like a waste of time and money to do a whole masters again. What ya think?

If you have to buy car insurance and get penalized for driving without car insurance, whats the difference here? Its as much a privilege to drive as it is to receive healthcare. However no one thinks its an over reach of government to mandate car insurance.

When you get in a car accident with an uninsured driver you have to pay for your own damage, so how different is it then when americans use the public healthcare system, the government has to use TAX DOLLARS to pay for their health care.

Also why is it being categorized as a "Government Takeover of Healthcare"? If I buy health insurance wouldnt it be more like a "Privatization of Healthcare" seeing that instead of having vast amounts of tax dollars going into the system, the health system would now be funded by the insurance companies by paying out claims.

After all its the US's appetite for illegal drugs that funds the fight. Helping buy the weapons that are being used to murder people in that country....

Im from Jamaica and the same thing is happening here. People die everyday in the drug trade and here's the kicker .....Almost none of the drugs coming through Jamaica stays here..... it ALL goes to the US! Jamaica doesn't have a drug problem...

Now both Mexico and Jamaica is considering legalizing these drugs to save our people....

Why should countries in Latin America continue to support the US and not just accept China?

Latin America's history with the US has been very bad (with violent US-backed dictatorships) and our future with the US looks bleak at best.

Whenever anyone tells the truth about Israel's crimes they have to resign or apologize. It is absolutely ridiculous!! The Israelis today come form Germany, Poland and some from the US, very very very few of them actually can trace their ancestors back to the "Holy Land". THEY DO NOT BELONG THERE AT ALL!. And even then both the Arabs and the Jews of Ancient days came from the same tribe.!! The Jews were the ones that got kicked out.

Since the US, Britain and the rest of the Allied Nations used the UN to divide up the region without consulting the inhabitants, how can they support Israel over the Palestinians. Building up a wall around the settlements and bombing them when they decide to fight back. How many Americans know that when the UN carved out Israel out of Palestine in the 1948. Jerusalem was DEEP in Palestinian territory. Today Israel has made Jerusalem its capital!!!!.....This is a clear violation of international law yet Americans are ok with it, but when the Soviets and the Iraqis did it they went to war over it.

Im am surprised Americans are supporting Israel since they are carrying out the same oppressive actions the British did to the Americans before the Declaration of Independence and EXACTLY what the Soviets did in Germany after WWII.

Another thing, Israel doesnt want the other Arab nations to have nuclear technology, hell, I'd go as far and say Nuclear Weapons but its ok for Israel to have them. It is strongly believed Israel posses the Nuclear Bomb and its a known fact they have a few Nuclear reactors. How do you think the Arabs feel? No wonder they hate Americans and anyone who supports Israel. Now when the US finally decides grow a pair and proposes a "Nuclear Weapons Free Middle East" Israel blocks it. Its like you can't please these people!!!

And now their latest infraction boarding vessels in international waters, how many rules and practices must they break before the Americans get any wiser and see that Israel is going to drag them into a War, and that it is because of Israel that Arabs are trying to blow them up everywhere they go!!!

At least the Palestinians have told us why they want to kill Americans and Israelis.....and given how Israel was formed you'd think they'd be a little more accommodating of these people, but instead America and Israel have acted as if the Land was rightfully theirs!.... And please the argument about God giving the Land to the Jews is a load of crap cause THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA believe in the SEPARATION OF STATE AND CHURCH!

What I still can't understand is that with all of this, Why are a large number of Americans, especially conservatives, siding with Israel over their OWN President? Hell even Europe has stopped supporting Israel they've acknowledged their mistake and trying to help out the Palestinians, I don't hear of any AMERICAN aid ships going to Gaza, or the West Bank.

Since canada has lower wages, higher taxes and higher cost of living, how then are they able to live similar qualities of life as Americans?

With all that accomplished in just 1 1/2 years, tell me why you thing George Bush deserved his second term, when Obama doesnt and he still has 2 1/2 years to go?

It just seems as though you can't refer to Canada outside of the United States and in the US when they refer to "nationwide" they are also including parts (if not all) of Canada. Unfortunately Canada is too small to really affect the US but still I mean even the day to day stuff the two countries seem joined at the hip....go figure Wendy's is Canadian....

1) Its been admitted by the TOP GENERAL that there were some prisoner abuse, under Canada's watch, why then is the government still being belligerent, throwing accusations of lack of patriotism and now plan on ignoring a Parliamentary order to release the info.

2) Broke a promise of decreasing GST, which they did, but only to replace it with a higher HST

3) Environmental issues are important to Canada, why hasn't Steven Harper's team push/enact a major environmental legislature to cut emissions while growing the economy.....even if the rest of the world doesn't like the plan, at least there would be a plan and a clear effort to do something......its better than doing nothing.

So why then does he have such a strong position in the polls?
