I love my family and try to spend as much time with them as I can. I'm 22, have a pretty good job as an administrative assistant at an engineering firm, and I just recently got my own apartment, which I love!! I was raised LDS(Mormon) and consider that the biggest blessing in my life. I enjoy answering sincere questions about my faith, so feel free to ask! :) Favorite Quotes: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by...and that has made all the difference. " -Robert Frost "It is in times of weakness that His power is made perfect."

  • Am I being payed what I should?

I started a new job as a receptionist at an engineering firm back in September. About a month ago, they moved me up to an administrative assistant for the vice president. Obviously my job is much more involved and more difficult. When I started, I thought it was less than I should be getting paid but I really needed a job, so I took it. Now that I do so much more, I really feel like I should be paid more. So, what do you think people in my position should be paid, or if you are or ever have been an administrative assistant, what do/did you make(if you dont mind answering)? By the way I live in Ohio if that makes a difference. And if I am underpaid, how do I go about asking for a raise and when is the appropriate time to do that?

  • Question for Atheists?

I am trying to understand exactly what you believe. I want to know why you think we are on this earth, like what is the purpose? I think a lot of you believe that we just die and thats it, but I just want to know what is the purpose of living if thats the case? I mean, why even put any effort into life if when we die, thats it? I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful, I just want honest answers. I also want to know how you deal with the death of a loved one if you think after they die they are gone forever? If I believed that, I dont know I could handle losing someone I love. I have been religious my whole life, but I like to learn what others believe. I just am curious what you think about these things. Please everyone be kind and give sincere answers.

  • A question about the trinity?

I believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are three different beings, but are one if purpose. I know many people believe they are all one being. I find it very confusing to say that they are one and want to know how you explain this to your children when teaching them about God. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I am just curious as to how you explain that God sent His son, but it was actually himself? Please explain to me how you explain it and why it is you believe it? Please give honest answers and please be kind.

  • How to deal with my boyfriend's mother?

I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years. His family lives in another state and he rarely sees them so they talk on the phone a lot, mostly him and his mother. He recently decided he was interested in my church and wanted to learn more. I was very excited because I have been wanting this for a very long time. The more he learned, the more he liked it and he even said he wanted to get baptized. But, once he told his mom, she started bashing my religion and even me (we have never met in person) and making up lies about it. It's been about 3 months and now he says he's not sure and doesnt think its what he wants anymore. I know I cant blame her for how he feels, but I think it has a lot to do with her and how unsupportive of him she is. So how do I handle this? Is there anything I can do to stop it? Would talking to her about it be a mistake?

  • Are there any mormons on here who are in a interfaith marriage?

I am with a great guy who wants to get married but doesnt want to become a member of the church. I am having doubts about how things will work out if we get married because of our differences when it comes to beliefs and values. I want to know if you married a non member..do you regret it and do you consider yourself happy with your marriage?
