  • healthcare law over turned?

First of all, I am completely neutral to politics cause i think they all have their own agendas. So please don't just call me a CON or an Obama hater.

    next

Since the federal government cannot mandate any citizen to buy anything (since that's a state right VIA the 10th amendment) doesn't that mean that the supreme court will over turn it? I mean the law could only stand if the 10th amendment was changed.

    example:

the federal government can not require people to buy car insurance, that right is automatically given to the states VIA the 10th amendment.

If it gets over turned does that mean the next step is to push a bill through to change the Constitution? Is it possible for the individual mandate to get removed and the law still be solid?

  • Why am i damned to hell no matter what?

Why does a Christian tell me i am going to hell if i am a Muslim and a Muslim tells me i am going to hell if i am Christian.

Doesn't that indirectly show that all religions are incorrect.......

How can one religion tell others they are right when every other religion says they know that belief is wrong.

To me it looks like religion is confusingly blind and ignorant. Why would i even want to be a part of any religion that has people with this type of mentality?

  • why should i convert?

    So,

If i become a Christian, I am going to hell because i am not a Muslim

    So whos right?

So in summary, If you believe a God you are going to hell

so why the hell would i even want to be religious!!

  • why do we even have social security?

Whats the point of this terrible system?

    1) if you know how to properly save for your retirement its easy to find a saving plan that can get more for your money. It serves no purpose for those that are responsible for their finances

    2) If you have no retirement when you get to the set age than SS isn't nearly enough to live off of.

    3) I don't give a crap about some old person that didn't plan for his/her retirement.

    3) Ever since when should young people be responsible to provide for old people? If anything, shouldn't it be the other way around? Can we make kids start paying their parents for food and shelter?

    4) This stupid number is tied to our identity so much its the easiest way for ID thieves to acquire your personal information.

    5) by the time i hit the collection age in 40 years it won't even be around.

So all it does is poorly provide any support for retirees while giving our identities increases vulnerability to theft. Shouldn't the SS administration be leading the charge on ways to protect people since they are responsible for creating the vulnerability in the first place?

i asked to be removed from the system and that I didn't want any of these crappy entitlements when i reach the set age but the lady at the SS office looked at me like i was crazy.

i don't mind paying taxes but this program is stupid. Anyone know any legit reasons why I should pay for someones retirement?

  • Moving to the DC area to work at Bolling AFB?

I am moving to DC to work at Bolling AFB and i am trying to get some advice on the area to know where to live. I know the area around Bolling is rather unsafe. I am focused on a safe location that can provide decent public transportation or at the most a 30-45 minute commute with traffic if I drive. I am single and price isn't a big worry although i would like to avoid anything over ~1500 monthly. Any advice would be great

  • How in the world did Ink slip past everyone?

So my friend told me he watched one the greatest artistic pieces ever and it was a movie called Ink. I of course thought he was crazy because i never heard of the movie but he convinced me to watch it. After watching it I could not believe how well this movie was made and its the only movie i have ever seen that has actually made me appreciate everyone involved in the movie from the actors to the writers/producers. Pure masterpiece, a brother to Shawshank Redemption quality. Beutiful visuals and soundtrack. The story, acting, and even the fight scenes were with purpose and beautifully directed.

So my question is, why dont we get MORE kick *** movies like these? Why do we get the non thinking, crappy movies advertised left and right? How did this movie slip past modern America?

Anyone got any other movies similar to Ink?

  • Do you think religion should prove their belief is correct?

I am doing a public study for school about how the scientific revolutions, starting with the Copernican sun centered model, has put religion (specifically Catholicism) on a defensive and reactive position to science in an attempt to continue its hold on power. My questions for you guys are this:

    1) Do you believe that religion has relied on the circular argument that others have to prove their religion wrong instead of they themselves taking the responsibility to prove their religion correct?

    2) Why does the Catholic church seem to adjust their understanding of scripture as science has recorded and validated the sun centered model up to the factual and peer rated fact of background radiation of the big bang

    3) Do you believe that religion has felt under-sieged by science? If so what are your examples and exactly what has the church done in response.

    4) If Prophets wrote some books of the bible and that some received the words from god, how come there is nothing in the Bible explaining any scientific explanation that is beyond the current scientific capability of the time but now known, measured and peer rated to be 100% factual, such as gravity, stars, the big bang, etc.

  • creating a simple moving average tool for stock investing?

    Ok here is my question.

I am trying to create either an excel (preferred) or access database (less preferred) that will let me input daily stock prices for my watched stocks and formulas that will automatically fill boxes with...

    1) a 5 day moving average

    2) a 10 day MA

    3) 30 day

    4) 120 day

The biggest problem i am running into is that i can create all the formulas in excel but when i add a new row for a new day it messes up the formals and the formulas stay with the newly designated rows. I want to make it simple. I create a new row, i enter the date on the first column and each stock closing price and BAMN, each cell block updates by averaging the last 5 values...10 values...20 values...etc.

    Any ideas?

  • Question about how much aftermarket stock prices affect the next day stock prices?

If i am looking to enter a stock at say around 10 dollars of asking price, but the after market price soars to 10.5 should i raise my buy limit? Should i just keep my buy limit around what the asking price was at the close of the market today? Do sellers normally show back up enough to counter the surge in aftermarket activity?
