  • MVP of the NBA?

I saw a question earlier making the case for LeBron to MVP over Kobe (as they are realistically the only two that should be considered for it). First off, let me say that I'm probably a little biased - I like Kobe and the Lakers a heckuva lot more than I like LeBron, but I'm willing to look past that.

LeBron has incredible numbers. Other-worldly, really. He scores, passes, rebounds, plays D, and does it all very, very well. Numbers-wise, he's having a much better year than Kobe. I'll admit it, that's fine. LeBron should rebound better - he's got height and size on Kobe. He's shooting a higher percentage because he can go to the rim more often. Kobe's got a lot more miles on him and has been hurt for a good majority of the year, so he's shooting more jump shots. LeBron should score more - he has really no other options for scoring on his team. Kobe does, and he's willing to let them take shots.

  • Why the Lakers Are Now a Serious Title Contender...?

I've seen this place be flooded by morons who insist that that Gasol trade to the Lakers doesn't make them a title threat, but here's why it does.

First off, Gasol will fit right in with the triangle offense. He's a good passer who likes to work from the high post, and he has a high basketball inteliigence. Also, he doesn't tend to work much in the low post, which is where Bynum excels and shoots a ridiculous percentage, so the two won't be in each others' way.

Gasol wants to win, so he shouldn't have a problem deferring to Kobe to lead the team and taking less shots. Odom creates matchup nightmares when you combine his length and ball-handling abilities.

The final line-up will look like this: 7' low post scorer, 7' passer/high post threat, 6'-10" lefty that can ball handle, 6'-6" dominant scorer, and a veteran point guard to stabilize the team. Combined with one of the best benches in the league, and the Lakers are now at least 2nd best in the West behind the Spurs...

  • Does anyone happen to know the top speed of a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SLE?

It's got GM's 3800 V6 with a four-speed automatic tranny that kicks out 205 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque. Just curious if anyone has found the top speed.

  • Getting Sound To Play Through Headphones Automatically?

Ok, here's the deal. I'm running Windows XP Pro on pretty sweet computer, and I've got a pair of speakers hooked up to my computer's audio line out port. However, I also have a headphone jack in the front of the computer. I need to know how to get Windows to automatically switch the sound to play through my headphones when I plug them in to my comp. I've searched all over Windows but haven't found an option for it. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
