  • My dog is REALLY shy. Should I send her to doggie daycare to socialize her?

My dog is REALLY shy. She shakes when she meets new people or other dogs. Even when we take a walk and she hears another dog bark inside a house. She was a shelter/rescue dog who was raised on a farm. I was thinking of doggie daycare twice a month.

  • A Kindergarten boy is is frustrated and is acting out in class?

We have a little boy in our kindergarten class who is acting out bc/ he is frustrated in kindergarten. He chews his shirt and arm during circle time and lies on the floor. He has the attention span of about two minutes. When he gets to handwriting or something he cannot do he does this really odd and loud voice. He is a HUGE bully to

his class mates. He takes toys and hits the other kids. He says mean things to them on purpose. He has a

difficult time waiting in line or his turn and usually ends up hitting another child. YES he went to preschool prior to kindergarten. His bus driver says his behavior gets worse as he gets closer to school. He will just hit another child for no apparent reason He is WAY behind his peers in terms of academics he does try. I am the assistant in the class and we do reward when he does the right behavior. What can I do as the assistant???

  • worksheets?

I am a kindergarten aide I am having a slight problem w/ the teacher I work with. The teacher I work with gives the kids morning work when they first come in the morning w/ is usally a worksheet. Latly she has been giving them 4-5 worksheets to do in the moring in a ROW. Yesterday it was six worksheets. How do I tell her to please give them less worksheets. She is very open to new ideas i.e. centers but is lazy and it would all fall on me. I can see giving the kids one worksheet but I find SIX an exsessive amount for children to do in a row. Sometimes she will give a worksheet on a concept NOT even covered. She says she is getting ready for firsrt grade. I am there tring to explain a new concept w/ should of been introduced in circle time. That is how subtraction was introduced to the kids and measurement.

  • We have a girl in our kindergarten class who has not said a word since the first day of school.?

She is seeing a therapist outside of school. We give her a penny if she nods or attempts to communicate. I feel bad for her and want to help her out. At home she talks non stop according to the mom (we heard a recording of her talking). Obivously she has some type of selective mutism type disorder.
