I believe that every animal "dreams". After all, when you see them twitch or something that usually means they are dreaming. But of course, unless you turn into a dog I guess you won't really know for certain...;]

Yes, they do. At least mine does. Last night he was asleep in bed with us while we watched TV (he sleeps in his little room for the night, but snoozes with us before it's time to go to bed for real) and he was dreaming. It was the funniest thing ever. He twitches his leg muscles (running), growls softly and makes these little baby bark noises. It's hilarious.

I think they dream about what has happened during the day that really caught their attention. My dog had had a really fun day at the dog park wrestling and play-fighting with his friend, and I think that is what he was dreaming about.

Studies have shown there is a huge amount of activity occurring in a dog's brain when they are sleeping, the same was it does in humans. What they dream about it any ones guess, though!

Hi. We think dogs dream. Our lab will be snoring and all of a sudden his legs and feet will start running like he's "chasing a bunny". It's also really cute when he starts wimpering like it's "a BAD DREAM". So yes, in our opinion - dogs dream. Have fun noticing when he does.

Yes they do. If you watch a dog sleep then you ill see it twitch or whine in it's sleep. It is probably dreaming of chasing cats or the postman. I have two pedigree Whippets & they both dream, the older one hates cats & loves winding up the postman who is terrified of any dog.

Yes they do dream, you can tell my their eye movements, and some times the legs are twitching and they will often times whimper in their sleep.

I'm pretty sure my little rottie dreams of suckling her momma and of running and playing. She sometimes suckles in her sleep and sometimes her feet are all moving as if she is running and then there will be a little "humph" sound or a squeal:)

They sure do. You should see my dogs feet moving when he is asleep. Sometimes he wakes himself up by barking.

  • yep

I get kicked in the face a few times a night by a running great dane or a digging boxer mix
