  • Why can't I send MMS messages from my phone?

I can send regular texts, but when I try to send Group texts (as MMS) or include a pic it doesn't work. I'm using an unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. But I'm on a Consumer Cellular's plan (network).

  • How do I re-format a hard drive that was used on a Dish Network DVR?

I connected a WD Elements external HD to my Dish Network DVR. I now want to use the HD on my Win 7 computer (not to watch videos, as a backup drive). I plugged it into the USB port but it doesn't show up in My Computer (Windows Explorer). But I can see it in Devices and Printers. Does anyone know how I can view it from My Computer?

  • I read this online the other day. Shouldn't the word "then" be replaced with "than"?

    Shouldn't' this passage

As I pointed out in "Why You Should Never Have Update Meetings," communicating facts verbally to large groups is extremely inefficient. It's much better to use email to get everyone up to speed and **then** have

a discussion of what yet needs to be accomplished.

    Be this?

  • is having uppercase and numbers really making my password more secure?

what is the difference between password, Password, & Pa33word? Is the 3rd string really more secure than the first 2? If someone was trying to hack my account, wouldn't they just use a program to cycle through all possible combinations? If so it would be the length that is important.

  • Could we build a network of pipelines to carry water all over the country?

Currently 60% of the U.S. is under drought conditions. This could lead to higher food and fuel prices (even water rationing in some places). If we were to build a network of pipelines, couldn't we pipe water from the places that have it to the places that need it? Or even use desalination plants? Forget about price or political will, do we have the tech to do it?

  • What is a man's job according to Christianity?

In traditional American society the Man's job is to work and the woman's job is to raise the children. Today, however, most women work and men are expected to help in raising children. So according to Christianity what is a mans job/role in society? If its not supporting the family what is it?

  • Should I change my transmission fluid?

I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GT w/ 103K on it. I took it to a dealer to get the 100k tune up and a transmission flush. The dealer said there was some code and my transmission was bad. He said it needed to be replaced.

The only problem I've had is sometimes (maybe 2 to 3 time a year) the car jerks. usually when I'm trying to move from a complete stop and making a turn (such as at a red light).

I don't have the 3K to get a new tranny. Should I flush the current one and hope it last, or just ride it till it breaks down?

  • How do you hold your spouse accountable for their actions?

A simple example: your spouse is supposed to vacuum, but doesn't do it. What can you do? You can't ground them or spank them, so how do you get them to vacuum on a consistent basis?

PS it could be any activity that that needs to be done on a regular basis, dishes, laundry, etc.

For years the comic book publishers, creators, and fans have said that the comic book industry is in serious trouble. With all the high profile comic book inspired movies, has the core comic book industry gotten better? (meaning creators are actually making money and comic shops are actually doing well).

  • Foreclosure Bank Inspector?

I saw an add in the paper from this company (also known as Nationwide Property Inspections). Basically you fill out their application and you become an inspector for foreclosed homes.

After doing some research, it turns out you become a sub-contractor and have to do the leg work yourself (get insured, find the foreclosed homes, write letters to the bank).

My question is how would I get certified as a foreclosed home inspector in NC? (this way I can cut out the middle man)
