does he like me?
(we are both 16)
So there is this guy who I am pretty good friends with. We've always been kind of flirty friends, and he's best friends with my best friend's boyfriend, so we all hang out sometimes. Last week, we were in study hall and he turned around and just looked into my eyes for like a minute, and he's always smiling and saying hi to me in the hallway. Then today we were in the cafeteria and he came over to my table and said he had to talk to me alone. So I went with him and he didn't say anything for a while and then he was like 'i don't know how to say this" and then he was like "never mind" and then he walked away. and then he and i and some of our friends were hanging out after school and he was like "come sit next to me" and i was like "i'm good" (in a joke-y way) and sat next to my friend (a girl) instead. and then the whole time he kept saying how i was mean to him (like as a joke) and i was like no, i like you, we're friends, and he was taking snapchats of me. does it seem like he likes me or like he was going to ask me out? I feel like maybe he was but i'm not really sure.

2 AnswersAdolescent7 years agoAm I being oversensitive or is she a bad friend?
(My friend and I are 16 by the way)
So this girl (I'll call her Jane) and I have been best friends since we started high school, but recently she's become better friends with this other girl who is more popular. This other girl and I are friends too, and it's never been an issue that she is better friends with Jane than I am. But recently Jane has started being really horrible (at least I think so) to me. She talks all the time about how her and this other girl hang out (without me) and I don't really care because I have other friends, but I know she is trying to hurt my feelings. She also tells me that my shoes are gross and I shouldn't wear them again, and she tells me that she knows I can "do better" than whatever I am wearing. Also, the only thing we ever talk about is gossip. She is very judge-y and I'm sick of it. I don't want to be over-sensitive but I really feel like she has just been so mean to me and I don't know what to do.

So our school dance is in a month, and I want to know if you guys think this guy will ask me. I could ask him, but I'd rather have him ask me (not because girls shouldn't ask, I'd just be too scared haha).
We've been friends since sixth grade (we're in eleventh now) and we've been kind of on-and-off close friends. This year we've gotten to be kind of flirty friends- he always sits behind me in class and kicks the back of my chair and tries to turn my chair/desk around with his foot. also he always (as a joke) asks me before tests if he can cheat off me (he never does haha). Our friends always joke about us too but idk. Also he always steals my stuff but we are so jokey with each other in a kind of immature way that idk if he likes me or if we r just friends. We kind of pretend we hate each other but he starts convos with me so if he actually hates me idk why he would do that. So our school dance is coming up and I wonder if he might ask me. He didn't go last year so idk if he's going this year. Does it seem like he might ask me?

1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture8 years agoWhat is going on with this guy?
So there's this guy that i went to a school dance with last year and we kidded around a lot but then i told him i liked him and he said didnt know i felt that way but he never said how HE felt and then we kind of stopped talking over the summer. then (this is the 4th week of school) he ignored me at school but i was kind of over him. last weekend me and my friends and then him and his friends went to see the conjuring. him and my friend who flirts with everyone were talking during the movie but since i was over him i didn't really care. then after the movie we were all driving home together and he and i and that girl he was talking to were all smushed in the backseat and he kept talking to me and it was really weird because we had been ignoring each other for like 6 months. and then at school yesterday his friends kept teasing me about him and asking me how he was and being kind of obnoxious. so idk whats going on? today none of his friends said anything to me nd neither did he. what's going on?
1 AnswerPsychology8 years agoHow do I get over how sweet he was?
So in the winter I went to a school dance with this guy, and he was super sweet and perfect and polite and nice and these things never happen to me, I'm always the friend and he asked me to dance and we just sat and talked and it was like a movie and he smelled nice and it was so perfect. and then he ignored me at school but he liked all the pictures of us on facebook from before the dance, like me putting on his corsage and everything. I wasn't really friends with him before the dance but he's friends with my best friend's boyfriend. He told my best friend he didn't want things to be awkward between him and me but then he was just weird around me and he wouldn't talk to me and was a jerk to me and so finally i asked him if we were okay because I felt like we were going to be at least friends but now we never talk, and i put myself out there, and he told all his friends about it and showed everyone what i sent him and then told me that he had thought we were just going to the dance to have a good time. which is fine but now he likes the girl who literally every guy i have ever liked has ended up liking, and she is perfect and pretty and i feel like i should have anticipated this, but i just can't forget how sweet and considerate he was and the way we slow danced and they way he made me laugh and how i made him laugh and how he held my hand when we were walking into the dance and i know he and i won't ever be together but it's been a while and i've seen him a few times over the summer and he still makes my heart beat faster and i know i need to forget about him but i just can't. we are 16 by the way. help!!
3 AnswersFriends8 years agoNow what do I do (boy problem)?
So this guy asked me if I wanted to hang out and I said yes. We had been friends and then a few months ago he told my best friend's boyfriend that he thought I had "potential". Nothing came of it until now. Anyway, when we were making plans to "hang out" (over text), he asked me "this isn't a date is it?". I figured that meant he didn't want it to be a date, so I said no, it was just us chilling as friends. He seemed kind of reluctant to make solid plans after I said that, so I just flat out asked him whether or not he had thought it was a date. He replied that he had wanted to know if I thought it would be a date. I told him the truth, that I had thought it was a date but that it was fine if it wasn't, which 100% true. He replied "oh, ok". I wasn't clear on what that meant, so I asked him if it was a date straight out. He said "not this one, maybe next time". I took that to mean he was being an a**hole, as in I have to pass some kind of test or something for it to be a date. After thinking about it, I realized maybe he meant that it wasn't a date because we haven't known each other for that long, so we should get to know each other before it's a real date. I replied that I was glad because I only wanted to be friends with him and he said "same" and I said "whew lol". Am I over-thinking what he said or is her actually being an a**hole about it. We're only 15 and neither of us has ever dated before. We've known each other about 10 months and we've been friends about 5 months. He does have a bit of a reputation for being a douchebag though...whats going on? also we never set a time to meet so what do I do?

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoDo I need to tell him I'll be late to his party?
So I'm going to this guy's party in a few days and there's only a few people going. I have a family thing so i can't be there till 6 (it's 5-10). I'm not really friends with him and I feel like it would be awkward to message him and tell him that I have to come late but I know I have to tell him. Should I just message him that I'll be late? It just feels weird because I know he doesn't even care if I come late because we're not good friends but it seems like the polite thing to do. Help! What do I say?
1 AnswerEtiquette8 years agoWhat to wear to a pool party?
I'm going to a pool party next weekend, and I'm wearing a hot pink bikini. I know I'm wearing denim shorts, but I don't know what shirt to wear. I want to wear my bathing suit to the party but I don't want it to be obvious that I'm wearing a bikini in case I don't go swimming right away. It's a casual birthday party btw and I'm 15

2 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoWhat should do so this isn't awkward?
So I was invited to this guy's party next weekend and he only invited like 15 people. The girls he invited are all girls I'm friends with, but my best friends can't go. These two girls who I'm friendly with but not friends with are going, and they're best friends are are really exclusive and b*tchy as heck together. This other girl is coming late to the party who I'm friends with, too. But idk what to do, the guys he invited I'm kind of friends with but they are all obsessed with these two girls and I'm gonna be the odd one out... I'm not flirty friends with guys and when pretty girls come along they ignore me which I usually don't care and I'm fine with being friend zoned but my ex is gonna be at the party and I want to look hot and cool and make him jealous or at least not be the awkward one out when he's there to see. Should I just come at the same time as the other girl or what? I'm 15 by the way

1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation8 years agoWhat do you think of my poem?
i feel as though
i have lived this life before
as though i have walked this road
chose this path
a thousand times before
and a thousand times again
it comforts me
that somewhere
every second
again and again
no matter what
you and i are dancing
on the 3 point line
of a sweaty gym floor
in december
holding each other
hot and cold
like a river
and that the winter winds of time
will sweep us down that river
until we evaporate
and swim again
4 AnswersPoetry8 years agoEmbarrassed myself- what should I do?
I was at school late on friday and I thought I saw this guy who I like, so I yelled to him "just keep walking, bud!" because we pretend-fight each other and I was trying to be funny because he always comes up and tries to fake-fight me. The guy was wearing his lacrosse jersey, but when I was talking to the guy I like today and mentioned something about friday, he said he had no idea what I was talking about. I asked him what his jersey number was, and it wasn't the same guy I yelled at! I figured out who the other guy was based on his jersey number, and it's this junior! He was wearing sunglasses and and a hat, so I couldn't tell! I'm so embarrassed and told the guy I like to apologize to the other guy, but IM SO EMBARRASSED! THE JUNIOR IS REALLY POPULAR AND IM SO HUMILIATED....ughhh what do I do now????
