  • What is the consonant equivalent of a dipthong?

When you string together two vowels like "ea" or "ie," it's called a dipthong. What is the term for when you string together two or more consonants? That's all that's being asked here. Any help you can offer is appreciated.

  • Why won't my PowerPoint allow me to utilize Adobe Acrobat?

The hope just is that there is some switch in PPT that subsequently allows me to generate an Acrobat file after selecting it. Is this the case? If so, within PPT must one go to turn on this ability and make it so? Thanks in terms of oodles and bunches!

  • Please give me chapter/verse of where it explains in the Bible on how we are to speak to God.?

The recollection is from YEARS ago, but the brain can't remember the book/chapter/verse that inspired the bishop to explain what he did about three years ago. Since we in the Catholic faith tend to re-read all the verses after a three year period-of-time, it means that this year will see us experiencing this verse again. Sure, you may be able to find it in a concordance, but finding one of those online can be a little difficult. If you can lead me to this verse, it's meaning will be shared with you FIRST!!! *grin*

  • Does anyone know what the parents of leaf miner bugs look like?

There are a lot of citrus trees behind-the-house, and there always are these little bugs flying around: one is blue and the other is yellow. They resemble mosquitoes, but they aren't mosquitoes.

  • Is there a web site out there where one can go to complain about a problem and propose a workable solution?

Forgive me for not knowing of such a place. This sounds easy enough to find on my own, but tossing one of you some points for finding it FOR me seemed like a better idea. *shrug*

  • Can you supply me with a word whose root changes when it becomes pluralized?

My tiny little brain can't think of a word whose spelling changes when it's pluralized. Maybe one doesn't exist! If you can give me a "bad" word that does this, the points are yours! *grin*

  • Can you tell me the name of this invention company?

They had an advertisement here in S. FL some mornings ago, but there was no way for me to write down the name, web address, or toll-free number due to me not having a pen and suffering from a poor memory! *grin* The name was, "Invention something." The "something" part is the part my little brain can't remember. If you can reply with any of this information, the points are yours. If this leads to any of my invention(s) making me some money, you will see me coming back here to share some of the money with you! *grin* My efforts to Google this have yielded buttkiss so far. *shrug*

  • Let's say you have an invention in mind but you don't know where to take it.?

To whom would YOU suggest the idea be presented? Please, don't give me that InventHelp web site! They have those ads on TV with the guy who "invented" that toy! *snore* My ideas are bigger than that! Please reply with an e-mail address and/or a web site address where all this stuff can get started. Thanks.

  • Why are there no black ants that bite?

All these people like to scream that there is no God but tend to clam up when presented with issues like this. If evolution were a legitimate explanation of what's going on, why are there no black ants that bite? WERE there black ants that bit, they would be ruling the black ant world, yet any weekend that sees me cutting down some trees in the backyard will see me having to deal with these little pests, but dealing with them only involves the swipe of my hand to brush them off me. None of them ever bites me. Were these red ants, it would be a different issue. Why isn't the black ant world ruled by black ants that bite?

  • Can you give me the name of a design software package that will render 3-D images on the cheap?

Selling my invention needs a 3-D rendering, but hiring a local engineering firm to do the work costs too much money. If you know of a low-cost package that, commercially, is available, let me know! Which one is it? Is it easy-to-purchase online?

  • Forgive me for posting this here, but if evolution were working, why don't we humans have snouts?

All of us would have a LOT easier time breathing through our noses were there no tip, and this made us look like pigs! The big claim about evolution is that it is to make us better animals, and this would seem like an improvement. Sure, Kleenex would lose a lot of coin were we to have pig snouts instead of the tips of noses that we do have. Or maybe they would make a lot more money because everyone would be more aware of the snot running down his or her snout! *laughter* Please, give it some thought and share some decent answers with us. Make us believe! *grin*

  • Here's an experiment that ANY of you can video! It's easy and MAY score you some YouTube cred!?

Make a LARGE piece of tape! You do this by taping smaller pieces-of-tape together next to one-another. Lay this piece of tape, sticky side up, anywhere you know ants are to gather. Then place a small amount of sugar into the middle of the tape and see how the ants react to it. Will they all commit suicide by getting stuck to the tape so that the few after them don't get stuck or do they organize and make a trail of ant carcasses on which the still living ants can walk and still get to the sugar? It's a bucking frilliant idea that just dawned on me today! Maybe someone else already has studied this, but YOU can put it on YouTube and become famous for providing the video and subsequent explanations to the ants' responses! This experiment may take DAYS for you to see anything. Ants are small and tend NOT to move too quickly, of course. It will cost you almost NOTHING. We all have tape in our houses and sugar is EASIER than that to find! You really can't FAKE the response because who has the patience to pick up the ants and place them a certain way on the tape sans squishing them? *grin*

  • Can anyone suggest my next step with my invention?

The idea is designed in my head and it has a provisional patent on it as well, and a group of engineers in Miami are working on an animation of it, but no idea how take it to the next step. What it needs is someone who can take the idea to the next level. Sure, there are people whom one can contact on the web, but you usually can't see the contract until you've forked-over some coin, and that is not acceptable. This person needs to make the contract available! A lawyer friend will review it before any money gets handed to anyone. Yesterday almost saw me signing up with a lawyer in Orlando, but he wouldn't hand over the contract until he got paid the $200 he was asking! So, screw him! An effort has been made to try contacting companies that my little brain thinks would express an interest, but one of the three rejected the idea, and no word has come back from the other two, and it's been two weeks, more or less. So, if you can give me better directions, the ten points will be yours! Oh! It also needs to be a company/attorney who works in FL. No desire to fly all over the country should issues arise.

  • For an inventor, on a percentage basis, how much can he or she expect to make from the invention?

The provisional patent is in. The designers should be finishing the design later this week and it will be available on the internet around the same time for everyone to see. How much do other patent holders tend to make from their ideas? Please share this with me on a percentage basis. It's going to be a high-ticket item. In my mind, they should be selling for $250 per unit, but that just is a GUESS on my part! If you could share some examples with me, that would be wonderful and help to earn you those points!

  • Can you find the edit in this?

"This Would Have Been A Picture Of My 2-Month Old Baby If The Mother Had Decided To Not KILL Our Child!"

This is what a 23-year-old guy wrote on a billboard in N.M. and people are upset with him for expressing his opinion and invading the "privacy" of his girlfriend whom he knocked up and she aborted the child sans confronting him about until after she had the abortion.

It's a rights-fight! Whose rights stand supreme? The man's first amendment right to free speech or the woman's right to privacy?

  • Is there anywhere in Windows 7 where it tells you which applications are running in the background?

When shutting down the PC, it usually gives me a note about some applications running in the backgraound that remain unclosed. Where do you go to see a list of these applications and close them, potentially?

  • Let's say you have an invention. You get the provisional patent and find someone who can produce it.?

What are the laws that keep your supplier honest so that he/she only produces what he/she's told you will be produced? Is it just a matter of contacting the accountant, and the accountant MUST tell you the truth?
