  • New mom needing help with breastfeeding?

baby is 9 days old. Baby wants to nurse very frequently, and for a short amount of time, and then usually falls off to sleep. I try to awaken her with wipes and such but it usually doesn't work to try and get her to eat more at a time. She awakens also usually very soon after I put her down. Some feedings may be five minutes and then 30 minutes or so or an hour later she wants more. Am I doing something to cause this problem with the short feedings? She won't sleep very much at a time either? Please help

  • How should I boil chicken?

what is the best way to boil chicken. I know some people add celery, onion, and carrot. Is this only done, if you are going to be saving and using the broth? Or is it just done this way for certain recipes, say like chicken and dumplings or something.

I am wondering when I boil chicken just for casseroles and such, is it okay to add the carrot, celery and onion. Or should I not do that. Also, If don't have the celery, is it okay to just use the carrot?

  • I am wanting a good cheese enchilada recipe, with NO red or green enchilada sauce!?

i have had some that are really good at a cafe. They are filled with cheese and onion. I am not sure if maybe they are using condensed cheddar cheese soup, or maybe cheese whiz, and maybe sour cream. What do you think ? Does any one have a recipe that may be similar to this that is tried and true? The top just seems to have cheese on it.

There is no olives, tomatoes, peppers, or enchilada sauce in it.

I do not like the red or green sauce. So, please no recipes with these ingredients.

    Thanks to all.

  • Question about potatoes?

Does anyone ever microwave their potatoes before they cook them so it will take less cooking time. I like to slice or cube potatoes and tossed with a little olive oil and seasonings and cook them in the oven. It seems i have read that you could go ahead and slice/cube the potatoes and microwave them a few minutes before you cook them in the oven to speed up cooking time. Does anyone do this and how does it work and how long to you microwave them.
