Do Chinese people experience a narrower field of vision?
Given the narrow appearance of Asian eyes, does this in any way hinder or reduce the width/height of the visual field?
I've seen some people where the upper eyelids appear to hang over parts of the pupils.
PS: Don't bother trying to make this about racism, it's merely a question born out of curiosity. A question stemming from ignorance perhaps, but a question nonetheless.
3 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups4 years agoWhy don't they use nitrogen in US executions?
With all the uncertainty, trouble and hassle they've been having with standard lethal injections, why don't they simply opt for something like nitrogen? If my understanding is correct, when inhaled in high concentrations, nitrogen sneakily replaces the body's oxygen without the subject feeling any pain before a rapid loss of consciousness occurs. On paper, to me this seems like it would solve all their issues. Also, it's cheap and readily available. Why are they not doing this? It would be like someone who accidentally inhales too much helium, getting blue lips and faints, but not feeling any pain. With continuous suply, death should occur in some minutes.

Are there technical/bandwith limitations that would make this impossible/difficult?
8 AnswersAstronomy & Space4 years agoSize of optical telescope needed to spy on the Vikings from 1000 light years away?
So, if some alien life form, on a planet located 1000 light years from earth, wanted to check out what is going on 1000 years into our past, would it be theoretically possible to make a telescope that could make out individuals on earth from that distance?
1 AnswerAstronomy & Space4 years agoHeight of space tower to experience true microgravity?
Am I correct in asuming that a tower reaching into space would have to strech all the way out to a geostationary orbit if I wanted to experience microgravity when "standing" atop? Anything lower would simply reduce my weight, but not acheive weightlessness, right?
14 AnswersAstronomy & Space4 years agoBuilding silent PC. Will mechanical HDD for storage make noise when not in use?
So, the main one will be a SSD. However, I need a regular HDD for video/music/photo storage, as SSDs have limited space. My question: Will the HDD always be on, and thus creating whatever little noise it makes at all times? Or, will it only start up when I'm writing/accessing files to/from it? I want it to be off when not accessed. Thanks.
2 AnswersDesktops6 years agoEnglish grammar question?
Is this the correct grammar: "That possibly is the creepiest thing I've ever seen."
Should it be "possibly is" or "is possibly"? Thanks.

Basically, would you experience the same sensation of weightlessness as astronauts in orbit does?
13 AnswersAstronomy & Space7 years agocan ps4 run games at 60 fps?
As someone who's been used to PC framerates of 60 fps or more, I've been reluctant to go console simply because of the typical 30 fps limitation. However, given the simple plug-and-play nature of consoles, I'm quite ready to take that step, but only if I can expect the new generation to put out 60p for most games. Once your eyes get used to 60fps, going back to 30 is rough.

By "movie style" I'm simply gonna go right ahead and assume ya'll know what I mean. Also, if they do exist, where in the states are they most likely to be found? According to most stereotypes, the deep south would be a region of interest.
