Would it matter to you if a presidential candidate was a vegan?
If they showed up at the town picnics and such and only ate food that did not contain meat or dairy would it affect your opinion of them. Nothot dogs, no fried butter sticks, no pizza if it had cheese or meat on it or if the crust was made with eggs or butter. I think it would really pissalot of people off. I am not sure why I feel that way.

8 AnswersElections10 years agoIs Rick Perry going to be able to convince Americans of the 'Texas Miracle'?
when the numbers do not add up to the fantasy?
here is some info from the ' texas insider'
(Debt owed by the state of Texas has doubled during Perry’s tenure as governor; the state’s per-capita debt is worse than California’s. And this year, Texas lawmakers wrestled with a budget shortfall that Associated Press called “one of the worst in the nation.” Perry’s budget relied heavily on federal stimulus funds to plug a massive 2010 budget deficit. The budget finally passed this year cut some $4 billion out of state support for public education and is expected to result in tens of thousands of teacher layoffs.)
7 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy does Rick Perry not point out that between 2007 and 2010?
Texas got 47% of all GOVERNMENT jobs created in the U.S.
125thousand gov jobs in texas in three years.
Even with the gov jobs Texas still lost over 50thousand net jobs in the same time frame.
Here is a chart from the department of labor and statistics. and an article on The Christian Science Monitor (not exactly a liberal publication)

Rick Perry sounds like Sara Palin with her " I said thanks, but no thanks' bullship.
3 AnswersPolitics10 years agoShould Perry tone down his christian cowboy routine?
I think if he keeps it up , obama will not have to remind us of Bush. Perry will do it for him.

4 AnswersPolitics10 years agoIn the 2008 republican primary a debate moderator asked the candidates if they believed in evolution?
Huckabee was one of those that let it be known he did not.
Would it be more telling to ask this year if the candidates believe the story of Noah's ark actually occurred or if Adam and Eve actually existed, or if the Arc of the Covenant had the magical powers described in the bible? I would like to know the answer to those questions, Do you find them relevant?
2 AnswersPolitics10 years agoIs it a coincidence that the most loyal republican voters still believe that tax cuts?
that tax cuts for the wealthy create jobs also are more likely to believe that the story of Noah's ark is an accurate description of an actual historical event?
5 AnswersElections10 years agoWhy is fox news pretending that Ron Paul is not in the room while talking up weaker canadites?
I think ron paul is a bit of a nut but I cant deny he has a following and he did excellent in the straw poll, and a lot of independents like him and I cant help but notice that fox treats him like the crazy uncle that is better off locked in the closet.

7 AnswersElections10 years agoShould Rick Perry follow the advice in the Bible if he wants to be elected President?
I am thinking of this bit of advice in particular
Matthew 6:1, "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them."
5 AnswersElections10 years agoI predict that the next republican nominee for president?
will be a candidate that prays in public as frequently as George Bush pees behind a tree.
do you agree?
3 AnswersElections10 years agoDid ron paul actually have a stronger showing than Michele Bachmann at Iowa;s straw poll?
Michele Bachmann technically won , but she paid attendees thirty dollar admission fee if they would sign a pledge saying they would vote for her, ron paul did not, and yet she did not beat him by much
.Bachmann won 4,823 votes to Paul's 4,671
I think they are both nuts, i am just thinking ron is in better shape than people think.
4 AnswersElections10 years agoHow is it constitutional for the government to force us to buy auto insurance .....?
but yet unconstitutional to force us to buy health insurance.
I understand that the auto ins. is to protect other drivers and health insurance it for yourself but i don't see how that difference is enough to make the leap into "UNCONSTITUTIONAL"
They can force us to pay taxes
force us into the military
force us to sell our land
How is this so different as to be forbidden by the constitution.
I like to hear from someone with some serious thoughts, but if you must be a smart butt, that's ok, i deserve that too for my past post.
16 AnswersPolitics10 years agoDo republicans in congress need a good CPA?
My family has had a family business for just over fifty years. we have 22 employees.
Our CPA always deducts the employee wages as a Salary Expense from our gross revenue, just like cost of materials ...he says it is legal
Do republicans realize this? They seem to think that if they raise taxes on businesses that we will have to fire people. Our CPA says that we are only taxes on profits after expenses. Is our CPA a crook?

11 AnswersPolitics10 years agowhen a politician hold a giant prayer rally, are you more, or less inclined to vote for them?
Rick perry has been gov of texas for a decade, he could have made the tuff and expensive decisions to protect texas farmers from a continued drought by building aqueducts and deeper reservoirs and covering the reservoirs to slow evaporation, he could have lobbied the fed to build a pipe line from Helena Arkansas to Texas that could send enough of the mighty Mississippi to texas to turn it into a botanical wonderland,
he doesn't have a mind for the big and the bold, he decided to put texas in the position where praying for divine intervention from the Lord is the most viable option on the table.
I am not saying God doesn't answer prayers, I am saying that leaders must act to protect us in case the lords answer in "no".
25 AnswersPolitics10 years agoIs it better that Gov Perry held a giant prayer rally to pray for rain instead of....?
using state funds to build the reservoirs needed to sustain texas farms during a drought.
