My name is Abby and I am 26 years old. I am the mother to two of the sweetest, smartest boys. I look forward to their little smiles everyday. I love them with all my heart, they are my life! I am married to the love of my life, Josh! We've been married for three years and together over seven. I'm an animal lover [especially cats]! I have too many cats, but I can't say no to a cat in need. This brings me to my job.. I work at Palmer College as a Secretary in the Clinic Capstone Program. http://www.myspace.com/abbycox

  • I had a dream that a shark ate my son?

We were in the water floating on a boat. My son who is 2, fell in the water and just floated in the water. I pulled him out and he was fine but when I was pulling him back into the boat (it was like a kayak) a shark came nipping at his toes and was trying to eat him. I got him in the boat in time but then the next thing I knew he was gone again and even though I didn't see it happen I knew he had fallen in the water and gotten eatin' by that shark. I started crying in my dream and woke up. Can you interpret this???

Thanks!

  • I'm seriously considering divorce, money issues?

I've been unsatisfied in my marriage for a long time. We've been together 8 years, married 4. He cheated, he's an alcoholic and a pothead.. generally a bad influence for my children. The problem is I make around 23 K/yr and he makes 50k. Obviously he pays the majority of the bills, I don't know how I can afford a lawyer, etc.. We also have 2 kids, a house a car and several other debts between us. I live in IL.

Any advice from women who've been there?

  • I keep breaking my vacuums! Anyone have a suggestion for a good one that lasts?!?

I've gone through about 4 or 5 vacuums within the past couple of years and I REALLY WANT to find a vacuum that will last! The last one I bought is the infinity walmart vacuum that is supposed to be uncloggable.. WRONG. It clogged and I went through all the steps to unclog it and it still isn't working right. I'm so sick of buying vacuums to only use them a few months. I have 5 cats so part of the problem is cat hair clogging it, but is unevitable.

Anyone have a suggestion for a vacuum that would hold up? I'd like to spend under 200.. thanks.

  • I lost 25 lbs and now my hair is falling out??!?

I've lost 25 lbs since around February/March and I'm still working on losing.. but now my hair is falling out! It's really getting thin and I used to have extremely thick hair. I'm not pregnant, not on birth control pills, I take a multi-vitamin everyday along with extra calcium, B12, fish oil, D13 and Biotin.

Why is this happening? I've scheduled an appointment w/ my doctor but it's not until July (she gets booked way out). TYIA.

  • How can you wear open toed shoes w/o getting stinky?

I have to wear dress shoes to work so I prefer open toed shoes when it's getting warmer out. Anyway, after a couple weeks they start to stink because I don't wear socks with them. Is there any way to avoid this?

  • I had a dream that I killed my 2 year old, interpret?

I dreamt that I could not find my 2 year old and was frantically looking for him. So I asked my babysitter and she said that I had killed him and had called the police. Then in the dream I had a "flashback" of me strangling him.

I love my little boy, I would never hurt him!

    What does this mean?

  • What is the penalty for an expired license ticket in IL?

Yesterday I was pulled over and turns out my license was expired. I had no idea! Anyway I got a ticket for it (thankfully just got a warning regarding my speeding) and I have to go to court. I renewed my license today, so do you know what the penalty will be? Will it just be dismissed since I renewed it now? TIA.

  • How can I relieve my muscle stiffness?

I started kickboxing on Wednesday and my muscles are so stiff I can't even walk right. ALL of my muscles hurt, neck, arms, back, abs, legs, butt, ALL. I can't even roll over in my bed at night without waking up from the pain.

I'm 26 y/o and have been working out regularly, obviously this is much more intense.

What can I do to help relieve the stiffness and prevent this in the future?

  • Is it legal for a veterinary office to charge my account for an invoice?

I owed like $16 to a veterinary office and forgot to pay them before they sent out an invoice, and they charged me $5.00 for shipping and handling! It's a regular letter in an envelope. Is that legal?

  • DirectTV bill is too high because of DVR upgrade.. was told there was no additional charge..?

I was told by a directTV person that when I upgraded to get local channels as they were not initially in my area, that there would be no additional costs when I got the upgrade. Now I looked at my bill at it is 180.. normally it's only 70. The reason it's so high is because there was a 99 fee with the upgraded DVR. I was not told that this would cost so much extra money! If I would have known upfront I would not have gotten this for a lousy 5 local channels.

    What can I do?

  • How to get a raise when it's not approved in the budget?

I've been at my place of work for 5 years and always get the yearly "cost of living raise" which is about 3%. Anyways, I started a new position because instead of being a Secretary, I was told in the interview that it most likely will be promoted to Administrative Assistant. Being that I have a bachelor degree, I'm trying to get a job that pays a lot more than I'm getting. I only make about $23 K/yr. The cost of living raise doesn't even do anything because a couple months later our cost of insurance also goes up which pretty much takes away anything extra you were bringing home.

I was told that I would most likely get a raise in October.. well it's come and gone and I haven't heard a word. Apparently it wasn't in the budget for me to get a raise (because of the bad economy, etc.).

I didn't go to school and get an associates and bachelor degree to sit here and do nothing with it! I'm sick of not making any money and being broke ALL the time! I carry our health insurance and that alone costs almost $300/month. Plus I have school loans that I'm paying back even though I'm not making anymore money than before I went to school!

My husband who is a highschool graduate makes $50 K a year. Doesn't make any sense to me.

    Anyone have some advice?

  • How do I quit my job with out burning any bridges?

Background: I dislike my boss. She's rude, hypercritical, nothing is ever right and she talks down to you. Being at work is like getting the life sucked out of me. You can't make a single movement without asking her first and getting her approval, it's really a bad environment for me because I thrive on being an empowered person, I really don't feel like I should have to ask for approval for EVERYTHING. That said I've only worked in this department for 6 months but have been with my company for 5 years.

Anyways, if I get the job I have an interview with, it is a move within the company, just interviewing for a job in a different department. If I get the job, how do I break it to my current boss with out burning any bridges?
