Why do so few people use Spell Check?

I am surprised by how few people refuse to use the spell check option in Yahoo Answers. It takes just a second. I think that it is just rude! Any thoughts or ideas?

I don't buy the speed thing. If I am reading a question, I read all of the responses. When you ask a question, aren't you hoping for the most right answer? That's why I use Yahoo Answers. I am hoping to better educate myself and get your views. Just today, I heard the best answer regarding Fundamentalists/Jyhadists. It totally changed my perspective -- and it wasn't answer # 1,2 or 3 -- it was answer 26!

I don't use it, but I'm a good speller, and I know how to punctuate, good grammar, capitalization, and all that stuff. Just because I'm trying to communicate with people who don't practice good English skills, doesn't mean my standards will drop. I always read my answers before I submit them, too. But I do wonder why people who know they are lousy typists don't use that feature. What's the hurry? You get points for good answers, not speed.

Sorry to sound conscientious, but I think I have a good grasp of spelling, and I don't want to waste a second to be told that I have no misspellings in my answer!

However, if I use a word I don't use regularly, I will admit that I check to make sure I've used the correct spelling. In fact, I used it twice in this answer because I wasn't sure if I had used the correct spelling for 'conscientious' and 'misspellings'.

yes! one agrees with you, and uses it. Always have always will. Most do not as they are concerned with there needs and wants returned or achieved yesterday. The rudeness of [I WANT IT NOW] the why did not you know what I want before I new I wanted it? And give it to me. This causes a feeling of, they don`t have time for one second more to get there wants and could care less what you or me think of there spelling.
Glad to know now there are two, you and me that spell checking matters.

that's because of the slow erosion of standards in society, rebellious teenage attitudes, the "i like it top now" outlook of the in demand international, George W Bush, Osama Bin weighted down, and the little voices interior my head telling me to jot down this. however, there are extra important issues in existence than spelling. No misspellings stumbled on. Oh goody!

I hate people who can't spell if you're not sure about the spelling the take a second and check (also they are rushing to get their answer in)
