A ? for those in High School and below?

I am in the process of writing my second book on Health and Fitness. The first was very scientific and geared towards the advanced weight trainer and fitness trainer on the road to competition. What would you guys/gals like to see in a book that will teach you how to be smarter about Health and Fitness and how to make it a lifestyle and not a passing fancy.

i would wish to see "more technical things" in a health and fitness book.

most book that i read contain a lot of information , but sometimes it is quite scattered. What i hope to find in a book is to have a "conclusion chapter". For example :

So as a conclusion , to live a healthy life and healthy died, we must :
1. at least 5 meals a day
2.meals is 40/40/20 ratio
3.etc
4.etc
5.etc

This conclusion is as a reference for the reader everyday. Because normally after reading people are very lazy to make short notes. And when it comes to practical , they don't know where to refer back. Its impossible to read back the book again and again. If there is a short conclusion section made in the book , the user may just refer to it on a daily basis.

hope my advice helps u ! and once again thanks for all ur useful advice!! I am your fans!

If you're planning on writing a book that is geared more towards High school students, try making some ideas seem like fun ideas. Instead of telling them to eat more fruits and vegetables, tell them how to make good smoothies, salads, and green drinks. At one point and time you do have to be somewhat realistic and tell them the facts. You need to tell them what will happen if they keep eating that junk that they call food. You need to tell them that if they're not obese already, they're going to run the risk of getting diabetes, heart disease, colon cancer, etc. This all comes from a SAD diet, not some drug deficiency. Kids today need to take care of their bodies and nutrition NEEDS to be taught in our schools. Our country is the sickest country and this is all because of the SAD (SAD AMERICAN DIET). If you do educate kids-instead of feeding them what they want to hear-on what they'll look and feel like when they're 30 if they keep eating fast food and twinkies, then I'm sure there will be more kids turning their lifestyles around. We need to do this because it's sure as hell not being done in our schools! Our school system actually makes money for serving junk food in our schools. It's all money and politics. That is why it's so important for parents to do their job too.

Nevertheless, try making a few chapters that include fun ideas, then try adding in a few that educates kids on whats going to happen to them if they don't quit eating unhealthy food.Educate them that every single time they eat exitotoxins, like MSG ( which is present in almost all processed junk foods), their brain cells commit mass-suicide. In other words, It's like smoking weed every single time you eat junk food! Try giving them some fitness tips that are fun too. I bet if every kid in school practiced healthy lifestyle tips, simples "diseases" like ADD wouldn't really exist amongst our kids today.

Good luck,

Stephen

What is the name of your first book?

The best advice I can give for an introduction is to tell them to stay away from those $$ driven publications. Yes those that publish 6 day-a-week am and pm routines. Some naive teenagers who don't know it yet will actually try these routines without help from chemicals and expect results ( I was on that boat in my first year of lifting).
