-6 < 4 - 2x / 3 < 1

-6 < 4 - 2x/3 < 1
Subtract 4 from all three parts *must be done before step two*
-10 < -2x/3 <-3
Now multiply all three parts by 3
-30 < -2x < -1
Now divide all three parts by -2 (remember to flip the less than signs)

just treat it like an equation:

-6 - 4 < -2x/3 < 1 - 4
- 10 < -2x/3 < -3
-30< -2x < -9
-15 < -x < -4.5

to get rid of minus x multiply by -1, this means you have to switch the inequalities around!!

15 > x > 4.5

(I think this is right as we just did it in school - but inequalities is my weak point in maths)
