Will I get fat?

Yeah...at the moment I'm not fat (124 lb/ 5'7"), but I think I have a wicked fast metabolism. I eat a lot of junk food and go out to eat at a restaurant/fast food place at least once a month, and I only exercise a little bit. Just running a little and taking swimming at my school at the moment. Later in life will this all cause me to balloon?

Your metabolism slows down as you get older. Think about the future- eat healthier now and exercise. Even if you are a stick and you eat like crazy on junk, your energy level will increase by a lot if you start eating the proper food. You will definitely see results in your hair and face too (less greasy, not so prone to acne, etc). Later in life, you may start to get bigger, my mother did. Her whole life she weighed 104 lbs up until she had kids, gained about 20-30, and has now ballooned to 190lbs. She eats probably less than what she did 30 years ago, her metabolism has just slowed down.

Think about the future, and do this for your overall health (not just your weight!)

well congrats to you on having a high metabolism...i bet some overweight person is so wanting to be in your place. but don't think that will last long because as you age your metabolism will slow down. so there is a chance of you gaining weight if you continue to eat like you do (sweets, fast food, etc.). You should also watch what you're eating not only because of weight issues but health issues. Eating a lot of sweets with little to no excersie and eating fast foods can cause high cholesterol, heart problems, diabetes, and even more risky deseases. so be careful.

Your metabolism will probably change when you reach your thirties. Changes in your diet and increasing your exercise will help keep you fit. Or you could be like my dad, he gained 1 pound for every year he and mom have been married....
