Why will my 99 blazer not start?
I've changed the ignition wire harness, starter relay, checked all fuses. Turn the key turns over ,runs for 2-3 seconds, shuts down. Can anyone give me an idea besides a stick of dynamite?

ok i can't tell you why it's doing that but i have a 2000 blazer and it is nothing but a piece of cheap built s*hit i say, we put all the blazers on one island and the people that made the bastard*s and then BLOW it up so they can go through the hell us blazer owners have i am VERY disappointed in my blazer...

Heh heh.. dynamite.. Yeah. Well if it shuts down like that it makes me think that a sensor has gone wacky and is giving the computer a signal to shut the fuel right down. Is there a check engine light???? If you are into replacing random parts like you have been I would put some oxygen sensors on your shopping list. They sniff the exhaust for unburned fuel and if they are shot they might give the computer a false rich signal. They are almost considered a tune-up item as well.

Don't keep changing parts unless you test them, you'll wast time and money and just get aggravated! Is it fuel injected or carburated? If its carbed, put some fuel directly into the bowl and see if that starts it up everytime. If so, you probably have a fuel pump problem. It cold be the ignition coil, distributor, rotor / cap, bad spark plug(s), or even a frayed wire somewhere shorting out.

it sounds like your having a security issue, usually when this
happens, the computer will shut down the fuel pump.
and it will run for a short period and shut down. sound familiar? i cant remember if the s-t trucks had a security light or not, if it does turn the key to the start position but do not start. if it stays on for a bit and shuts off we need to look elsewhere, but if it remains flashing were on the right track.
and if so i recomend towing it to a dealer to get it looked at properly, i wish i could do more for ya,

i would check your fuel filter. I had an 95 s-10 and had the same problem. it would start and after a few feet woud die on me. once i replaced a stupid $10 filter it worked fine
