DYSON ANIMAL
I have 4 dogs......2 rottwielers, a (heavy shedding) siberian husky, and a pommeranian.
I have gone through 10 vaccums, until my vets assistant recommended the DYSON ANIMAL, it was expensive but worth EVERY penny, I have had this vaccum forever and never had a problem, nor needed service or repair. It has paid itself over multiple times!
Do it right the first time......get a DYSON ANIMAL, and you will never have to worry, and a plus is that you do not need to buy bags, and it has a lifetime warranty on filter and motor!
Worth every penny without a doubt!
hello
Labs do shed quite a bit in general, but look at the source of the problem--make sure you're feeding your dog a quality food as this combined with regular brushing, bathing, and grooming, will minimize shedding. As far as vacuums I've heard that Dysons are very good and I believe Bissell has a model out now specifically marketed for pet hair.

I know people with house-fulls of shedding dogs, who swear by the Dyson vacuum cleaners. They're expensive but worth the price, or so I hear.
?
For short-haired dogs, any good vacuum from Eureka, Hoover or Kenmore will do it that has a HEPA filter. I prefer bagged to bagless models -less messy. It doesn't need to be an expensive vac. I also use a Roomba for in-between cleanings. I got a deal on one on Woot.com.
For my long-haired goldens, it's a little more challenging because the hair tends to wrap around the rollers. But I love them, so that's the price I pay.

Dyson or Hoover.
I have several dogs and I have a hoover windtunnel with bags and I like it. I vacuum every day several times a day.
Although many people with pets love dyson and swear by them.
