Great local places to eat in Auburn, AL or Birmingham?

There is no board for Birmingham, so hoping someone here can answer. I have to travel to Auburn this weekend for my daughter's softball team. I want to find the local, "oh, you must go to ...... to eat" places. I am not looking for fine dining, just some place, even if it is a hole in the wall, that has great food and a great atmosphere. Will need the same thing for Birmingham, particularly a lunch place, as we have to stay there for a day before we fly back home.

Juliana Tokyo Martini & Sushi Bar. This place is right in College ST. Just a few blocks down from Auburn University and a few stories down from the famous Toomer's corner. The food is great and you'll love the service. Great for families but remember that Auburn as a college town, has a bunch of college kids around.
