Sorry Christians, but this question is only for immediate Abrahamic family and that means Jews and Muslims.
QUESTION: We are so close in most things, can we ever have a lasting peace between us? Hasn't enough blood of children been spilt on both sides?

Just a note: I was in Malaysia (which is mostly Islamic) during 9-11.
For the record, every Muslim who met me was horrified by the incident and went out of their way to make me feel safe and secure in their nation.
I have many Muslim friends and consider them to be mostly honorable people - except for the fundamentalist clowns, but ALL religions and peoples have their fair share of them too.
Do not judge the all by the acts of a few.
I believe in Israel, but I also believe in a free Palestinian state living next door in peace.
Someday, G-d willing, we will see this happen.

We've had a lasting peace in the past for many centuries. Moslems can live peaceably together with both Jews and Christians in the U.S. and other Western countries. I think the problems arise in Arab countries where Sharia law is being imposed on the masses, with or without their consent.
Truth Paragon: Your line of descent terminates with Jesus. He didn't have any descendants. .
What do you mean for immediate abrahamic family????
we ( Christians ) fall under abraham completely

Of course, we already started it right now. By answering your question, I am a Muslim :) I think what Ahmadi Nijad is doing is not evil. America has nuclear power and so does Iran. What is everyone's problem with the Middle East?!! :) Let us make a bond now,me, as a person, will never hurt a Jew nor a Christian because this is what God tells me to do.
Excellent question. Yes, there can be lasting peace, but only if both sides of the conflict actually DESIRE peace. This means that those who desire the extinction of the other be defeated and swallowed up by those who truly desire peace and co-existence. It also means that questions of religion have to be put aside in favor of questions of humanity and society.
