When you believe in Jesus as your lord and Savior, you are a Christian.
?
The Holy Spirit testifies to the truth that I am, and bears witness to the fact. I am bearing the fruit of the Spirit the more I reject the flesh. I am in the sanctification process of becoming more like Christ everyday and I pray that you are too! Salvation is immediate but sanctification is a process.
P.S. The only way to be sure of your Salvation is to have come to Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Turn to him (Biblical repentance), for him to save you, not turn from your sins in order to be saved. anyone who tells you that you have to clean up your act before you receive Christ is a HERETIC! Salvation can come ONLY when you have come to the SAVING KNOWLEDGE that you are a sinner who deserves everlasting punishment in Hell and then turning to Christ to save you and "putting on the Lord Jesus Christ" as you would a parachute to save you if you were to jump from 10,000 feet from an airplane. You wouldn't just believe in the parachute to save you, you would put it on! The same is with the Lord Jesus. Believe in the sacrifice he made by his death for your sins, his burial and resurrection on the 3rd day. Jesus is not dead.....He has defeated death and there is no sting in death for those who die in the Lord and the grave has no victory! It's all because of Jesus Christ!

When you accept him as Lord and Savior. It does not matter what humans think, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit testify and confirms you.

The dictionary tells us that the word 'Christian' means -- "follower of Christ," but that word 'Christian' also means "Christ-like." We must strive to be more and more like him everyday and keep his commandments. We must love our enemies, be kind even to the unthankful and to those who do evil. In other words we must love everybody because God and Jesus do that AND if they are living IN US we will love as they love!
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9
'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.' (Ephesians 2:8,9)

When you raise your hands to the sky and dance like a looney praising ghandi and singing worship songs while praying on the alter and crying your eyes out for reasons.
