How to use an attenuator on a guitar amp!?

I just got a weber minimass 50 for m traynor ycv40wr, The websites says the Cabinet Impedence is 8 ohms, but the minimum impedence is 4 ohms, so should i put my attenuator at the 8ohms setting or 4 ohms setting?

You could put your attenuator at either setting. Personally, I would run it at 8 ohms, as it will have to dissipate less heat that way.

With an 8 ohm load, your amp can probably produce about 20 watts. If you read the specs closely, you'll see that it can produce up to 40 watts into a 4 ohm load (if you added an extension cabinet).

Good luck.
