Business arrangement with the ex? i'm confused!?

Question

OK so when i met my gf  2yrs ago she had just broken up with the ex 5months before and at the time i would be there for her whenever she went to the club and saw the ex she would come home and cry herself to sleep... that went on for about 2months before we hooked up.
On our 2nd anniversary the ex showed up at her door and for 45mins she stay outside chit chating while i ate lunch alone.
Recently the Ex had to leave the country and she asked my gf to be the landlord to her house while she gone and my bestfriend moved into the available room.
I have been bitching about it and want to know why does my gf have to do her business, why can she find someone else to do it and my gf said its because when they were together and the ex had to leave she was the one that did all the fianances and she is the only one that the ex trust with her money....
But i'm still not pleased with it and we have been arguing about it for almost a month now...
I'm i being wrong cause i dont want my gf doing her ex's business? or why do you think she took the job in the first place?

I'm still not sure if or what the ex is paying cause my gf says that the last time she was well compensated so she doesnt want to ask what's the moneys like....
I'm confused cause my bestfriend say i'm making a big deal out of nothing and my gf thinks i'm being childish...i'm i?

Your girlfriend is right.  You are being very childish.  The ex needed to leave the country for a while, and thought long and hard about who she would trust to look out after her investment.  Your girlfriend is obviously not dating her, as she is out of the country.

You should be proud to have a trustworty girlfriend...the kind that even exes can trust to guard assets in thier absence.  It takes a lot of trust to hand over something like that, and it isn't done without careful thought.

Your girlfriend is not stepping out on you, and she didn't take on the responsibility because she is still in love with her ex.....she took it on because someone she happens to have some history with asked her to, as a favor, and she was kind enough to agree.

Get over your cheap, insecure self.  You've latched on to a winner, and if you don't cool your jets, you're gonna wind up chasing her off!

I don't think you are. I'm dealing with the same **** just in a different way. The ex is like a ghost that tends to pop up from time to time. It's makes me ill. I wish I had some advice but I don't. I don't even to know what to do about my own situation. Why can't ex's just move on? Just know that you're not alone and I'm sending you hugs.
