I have a friend who has a baby son that has autism and she is wondering what to do with her sons health.?
He is on a diet called SCD and is also on 2 illegal probiotics. He wasn't sleeping well so she reduced his anti fungals which allowed him to sleep for 3 nights in a row. he also takes flucanzole and enhansa. should she take him off the illegal probiotics?

Actually there is a possibility that there is a doctor somewhere on yahoo answers... I mean it isn't a small place :P But yea I agree that a specialist should be contacted to hook the baby up with the right drugs. Obviously the current plan isn't healthy.
Is this a gluten-free diet? My friend's son has autism and she put him on a gluten free diet for two weeks and his headbanging stopped completeley and emotional outbursts decreased. There is a theory that children with autism have 'leaky gut' syndrome and that the gluten passes through their gut and goes straight to their brain, acting as a drug and affecting their behaviour. I presume this is the diet you are talking about?
Also, she uses the sonrise program and it is really good.
How are we to know, don't take medical advice from anyone on this board, we are not doctors. In a case like this a specialist should really be contacted.
