I an renting a laptop computer for the semester (while I save up for a new PC) because all my classes are online. The computer came in a box, like new with everything and every program correct! It has MS word 2007 office and student... I love it! It keeps asking me for a 25 digit code everytime I pull up a document and I can't find any paperwork for the program or the code itself!! Is there a way I can get a new code or download it from somewhere else?

Be careful: That MS Office 2007 may be a free trial copy that's good for 25 uses (of all Office programs combined) or 60 days. The good news is that you don't need a product key to use the trial copy. Just click the Continue button in the registration window without entering anything in the product key boxes.
The bad news -- and it's really bad news on a rented computer -- is that when the trial period expires -- with little or no warning -- you'll be able to read and print your documents, but not much else. To keep going, you would have to BUY a license for Microsoft Office. Since you're using a rental computer, this license would stay with the computer, essentially giving the lessor a free copy of Office.
On the other hand, it seems to me that leasing you a trial copy of Office might be a bit shady. What happens when it expires if you don't decide to buy a license? The computer has become worth far less to you, but your payments remain the same.
I suggest you contact the lessor and ask them where the product key is. Perhaps they just didn't supply it to you. (Fingers crossed.)
Usually, a new laptop comes with a trial version of the Microsoft Office for 30-60 days.
I'm guessing that the trial version has expired. You might want to ask the lender if he/she has a microsoft office 2007 for the laptop. Otherwise, you can also buy one (Student version). It's relatively cheap and you can use it on 3 computers.
The way to get a new code is to ask for one from the person who lended you the laptop or to buy one from Microsoft. Or, you could get Open Office, a free alternative to Microsoft Office which can read all Microsoft Office files and has similar features. http://openoffice.org/
Sweetheart ... and I offer that as a general term of endearment. It is NOT intended to be offensive, obnoxious, condescending, or sexist ... though, I must admit, I have yet to use it to an adult male, apart from my own two grown up sons and one of their friends who I've unofficially 'adopted' ... the chances are that installation of Microsoft Office is a trial version ... unless you specifically ordered the laptop to come with Microsoft Office installed. (There would have been an extra payment for this.)
Sorry, but the only legal way you'll get a 25 digit code for the programme is to buy it from Microsoft.
What you could do is download, and install, OpenOffice. This is a free Office Suite of programmes that is compatible with Microsoft Office programmes.
