my car has hesitancy starting up...whats the problem?

ok so lately I've been having a problem. when i start my engine up sometimes it kinda stalls i guess is the word and doesnt really sound like it wants to start until i put my foot on the gas and then it starts just fine. What would cause something like this? is it starter or maybe alternator? im just throwing things out there I could be wrong

i get my oil changes done every 3,000 miles ever since ive had the car. had the air filter replaced back in maybe aug of last year. and last time i took it to the shop i had the radiator hoses replaced i think is what they told me bc my check engine light had came on.

Need a make, model and year. It's just not the same for every car.

wot car is it? could be fuel pressure if EFI car, or maybe the weather is different now, or the throttle cable has stretched a bit and the idle needs speeding up. dirty airfilter? bad choke? Poor compression-worn motor. bad fuel? Not likely to be electrical, much more likely what's listed.

I've had a problem similar... could be a pressure problem. Gas cap may need to be replaced or screwed down tighter... just a possibility

When did you last do service or maintenance or at least change the air filter.
It is not getting either enough air or fuel, check air and fuel filter and backtrack from there.

you better mention what car you have because some cars you have to pump the gas.
