Norco 5/500 mg is going to put more strain on your liver. It is 5 mg of hydrocodone (vicodin for example) and 500 MG of acetaminophen (tylenol). However, as long as you dont take either pill in excess, or if you have a pre-existing liver condition, I wouldnt worry about it.

You should go to the ER and tell the triage nurse what you did!!! Excesses of motrin or tylenol can cause kidney and or liver failure depending on how much you take and what you take. Deaths from these things are slow and painful. I don't think the amount you have taken would be a reason to get your stomach pumped, but it depends on what other health problems you have and what other meds you take. The hospital can help you get some mental health help and take care of any pain you maybe having. Do not experiment with OTC drugs !! It can be dangerous especially if you drink alcohol. Good luck getting treatment, you sound like you need help. You can also call Poison Control or a suicide hotline in your area for anonymous help. I have worked in a hospital for 17 years, but i am not a nurse,,,, so seek help, please.

motrin is processed through your kidneys but the norco is processed in your liver. you can have up to 4000 mg of tylenol/acetaminophen in 24 hours safely (which is 8 norco) and 3200 mg of motrin/ibuprofen in 24 hours. norco is also a narcotic and can affect motor function and judgement and should be used only for severe pain that is unrelieved by OTC medications.
