Both of my cats, one recently spayed, have mucus in their stool. I am on a limited income. Any suggestions?

They both act normally, with loads of energy, eating properly and don't act like they are ill. But, the mucusy or watery stools, which are light in color, continue. I have tried changing foods to a better quality. Also, I just moved, which may have contributed to upsetting them. Sam is almost 10 years old and Java is one and a half years old.

The combination of changing their food and also moving can have a lot to do this this. Stick with just one food and if switching, remember to do it over the course of at least 2 weeks so that there system gets used to it. Watch their energy level and how much they are eating and drinking. If it persists or gets worse you will want to get them to a vet. Hope this helps!
