What are the main key to maintain ... ?

What is the main key that you can maintain the friendly environment on the practice area, as a student or even an Instructor, we have full responsibility to remain things at ease, then what you think you can share.

I emphasize important rules and regulations on the dojo, but if there are some useful thoughts then I must revise it to properly utilize things smoothly.

i have a list of rules, as well. while they are all important. the ones i think of the most is respect.
respect other, the dojo and the sensei. in order to receive respect you must also give respect to others.
this also relates to what rob was saying about, not laughing or making fun of people, when something happens.
as well as having the students that have been there longer be an example to the new students and help them with dojo etiquette.
having an open dialoged with your students, having them know when the appropriate time for questions are. not all questions should be asked during class.

I think the most important rule in my dojo relating to this is that no negative talk is allowed in the dojo. Our sensei is very upfront that you can take this outside. We don't "pick" on each other, we don't laugh when someone falls, we always clap after someone performs, etc. These things make the dojo a good, safe place to learn without anyone feeling tense about making mistakes.

It is really good to maintain things on peaceful manner, by letting yourself as an example to everyone keep the vicinity comfortable place.

I was so glad our Instructor are open for suggestions, if what are the proper things to do to maintain progressive procedure on the dojo, it was such kind that everybody are warmly welcome to voice there ideas during open forum, after practice, we are gathering together on any restaurant sharing penny for our meal, wherein we are not discussing about Martial Arts but about enjoyable thoughts on some open discussion.

be fair and just. one of my old instructors would tell people that he sides with them and they are right in an argument then turn around and say he sides with the other. it was always about what benefited him.
people can tell when an instructor is only out for him/her self. make sure that your main reason for teaching is for the style and the students. correct problems as they come up don't wait till they escalate. never be afraid to take someone aside, and make sure that there is a level of being polite. look for silent tensions between people as well.

Respect!! Without respect nothing can "smooth" in your Dojo. No friendship, no student/teacher relationship,no honor, no discipline.
