100,000s of Uzbeks have been kicked out of Kyrgystan. Where is world protest?

Will the Turks send a flotilla to embarrass the Kyrgis? Will Hezbollah fire rockets at Kyrgystan? Will Noam Chomsky go to Kyrgystan to condemn the violence? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100615/ap_on_re_as/as_kyrgyzstan_unrest

Probably not. They are not the world's favorite martyrs - Palestinians. So who cares?

Same exact thing has happened all through the late 20th century. Who cared about hundreds of thousands blacks being killed in Africa? Darfur is one out of about 5 different genocides happening there right now - but you won't see any reports about that. You won't see that much about Darfur as well...

Why cant the Uzbeks go to Uzbekistan instead of Kyrgystan?

The aid flotilla was an international effort to make headway with the Israelis if that is possible in their siege on Gaza.

Noam Chomsky should not be stopped from visiting Israel. He is a scholar and because he holds a pacifist view the hardline right-wing Israeli government does not like him. He is no trouble maker. If Israel is such a great democracy, Chomsky should be able to speak there.

Sadly it's no surprise. Only certain groups & nations get that kind of help & some would call it even favoritism. It's a sad double standard. My other guess is there's no Oil there so a country like the U.S is not going to care since there's nothing to gain from it.

The world doesn't care cause their favorite whipping boys, Israel and USA are not involved...so the atrocities are all right with them...same as the Sudan...hypocrits all!

Probably not. :P

Simply, I don't think that powers at be don't really care so much for the Uzbeks. That is regrettable, but I think that is the unfortunate case.
