There's a little local place in Wailuku that is open for breakfast/lunch called Sam Sato's. You will have to look it up online to find it, but the food is fantastic! If you manage to make it out there, I highly suggest ordering the dry noodles. It's their famous dish and like nothing you have ever had. Well worth your $5. In Kihei there is a place on the main street called Cafe 'Ole that is a little pricey for dinner, but the food is great and they have a decent wine list.
