What foods taste better when they are burned?

There are a few food out there that I noticed I like the taste better when most people would call them burned or overcooked. Sausage, Marsh mellows, Hot dogs, Bacon, Garlic bread, onions. Are there any other food out there that people like better when they are over cooked to other peoples likings?

Well not really burnt, but I love overcooked meat. Overcooked steak, chicken, beef, pork, anything.
I hate redness and blood, so that's all :)

Not necessarily, my family prefers hashbrowns and onions a bit on the burned and dark side. Fried Okra on the dark or burned is great. There is a point when burned gets bitter, so I'd say NOT to a Crisp so to speak just almost. Dark Brown but not Black. Onions, sweet green peppers, potatoes, brocilli, and many veggies have a different taste when cooked to a medium to dark brown. Blackened will be bitter.

Burnt onions are actually caramelized onions and are incredibly delish. The flavor and sweetness develops when they burn or caramelize.
When you roast other vegetables in the oven and they get charred or burnt, that is a delicacy as well. Burnt or charred tomatoes and red peppers are fabulous.
Also, burnt sugar is great - it's the topping on Creme Brulee.
If you burn parts of bread and not the whole thing, that tastes good too.

Mmmm! I love the burnt parts of meat... all crispy and delicious! I also love semi-burnt green beans... crispy salmon skin... onions... semi-burnt butternut squash (the natural sugars come out more!)

Any food tastes better burnt that it would if my mother had cooked it.
