Hello. I'm a huge fan of both and have had them for years. I can verify I've never detached the game boy player and years later have had no issues. Maybe this is just good luck. Maybe it's a well designed system. But based on my person experience, there is nothing dangerous to your or the system by leaving it attached while not using the game boy player disk....Show more
