Best bait for catfish is going to be meat. Chicken Livers, Hot dogs, and it works especially well if its left out to sort of spoil. I dont think you will have much luck with bread. When I was younger I would take a container of pillsbury bread / buns , something like that. It is relatively inexpensive.


I would use the raw dough, & chicken livers to add scent. Make balls with a little liver in the center....Show more

I work in a fishing shop that does very high volume. There is one dough bait that when it is in, is gone in a week and all the big time catfishing guys only use it.
