like are their best friends usually girls? or are they not interested in girls at all? I know the feminine gays would probably like to go shopping with girls but what about gays that act normal who dont like shopping and dressing up?

Some. I would feel more comfortable around girls because I'm not attracted to them, it doesn't mean I befriend mostly girls. Most of my friends are guys. However I get along great with both genders, I'm androgynous.
I would feel more comfortable befriending a women if the guy in question was very attractive. That might make me nervous.
Sort of, that is until I actually came out and told my best friend whos a guy. I think a lot of people like me are just afraid to get attached to male friends for several reasons. I mean I personally always held back because I didnt want it to affect our friendship in any way. But now that its out in the open im closer to my best friend and can relate and talk to him better than anyone else.
Asking if all gay guys share something is like asking if all straight guys share something. Don't stereotype. However, I will say I personally, as a male homosexual, prefer to be with girls. All my friends are either LGBT or female. Also, "gays that act normal" Normality is only semi-existent, and highly overrated.
Sometimes yes....but gay guys are actually more open around women and compare better to women.....guys might find it weird being with gay guys and talking about gay stuff where as women will usually be more comforting and support...
i am hetero and have a couple of very close gay male friends. i think, like most things, it depends on the guy. i have a friend that is gay but unless you knew him you would not know it. he played football in college. he is an auto mechanic buy trade. and he loves to go hunting and fishing and if i am doing any kind of work around my house he is the first one i call for help. but he likes guys not girls.his closest friends are people like me, males that like guy things.
