What is the average cost for moving household goods across the country?? I am looking for an estimate of cost to move 5000 lbs a total of 1500 miles. I have one quote for $0.52/lb.
This price includes loading/unloading transportation and fuel costs, all labor. Does this sound competitive? Where would you go to look for independent truckers to make such a move?

There are many options you can select depending on your circumstances, like including full packing service, tips and insurance. It is not linked to any moving company so it a very independent estimate.
