Easy question on gardening?

Okay, so this year (like every year), I have my own garden. With school comes assessments, projects, and lots of studying. I have baseball EVERY day of the week; im not joking. SO this year (time wise) i did not germinate my plants (hopefully that's the correct terminology LOL), so i just put the seeds in the ground before letting them bud by a windowsill. WIll this effect how my plants grow?

*I am new to gardening*
*I planted: Pumpkin, tomato, radish, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, broccoli, and some chives aer still there from last year. (I hope i covered everything.)

You'll be fine with your garden as long as you water each day to help the seed to germinate. The only reason to plant indoors early is to get a head start on your vegetation especially in the colder climates, but it's not necessary. ...once the weather warms, your plants should start thriving...I live in So Cal zone 8 and last Halloween we carved our pumpkins outside and just threw some of the leftover seeds in the ground to see what would happen, now we have tons of baby pumpkin seedlings sprouting up, they're about an inch tall right now and they look really healthy.
