Leaking toilet in half bath?

How do I turn off the water for the toilet so it stops leaking on the floor?

If the toilet is leaking rom the tank, there is the water supply valve right next to the toilet, on the wall. Turn that off all the way to the right. Then, flush the tank. The tank could continue to leak if there is still water in it, though. if you need to, you can get the excess water with a sponge. Otherwise, if the toilet is leaking from the base, don't do what I just said. The toilet needs to be properly reset over the waste line that it sits on. try not to use it until you can get someone over to reset the toilet. if this is the problem, turning off the water at the valve and emptying the tank won't fix this problem.

The Valve coming out of the wall should be shut off, but if the tank is leaking it will drain down to that hole level before it will stop leaking. Need a little more detail about the leak source to confirm. Also, does it leak all the time or just when you flush it?

so there is a valve by the wall. turn it so that it is all the way in <should be to the right> then flush the toilet until there is as little water as possible in it. your floor seal <under the toilet> needs to be replaced.

Should be a shutoff valve in the one line running to the toilet ...
