I don't really follow politics but I always hear the words "conservative" or "liberal". For example someone could be saying "So and so is a liberal" or "So and so is conservative". What exactly do you have to believe in politics that would give you that label?Serious answers please.Thanks in advance for the clarification

Conservatives believe in individual responsibility and liberals belive in government responsibility. It's that simple.

Conservatives believe in individual freedom like our Founders (classical Liberals).
Liberals believe the government is the only thing that can keep you alive and you need to give all your money to it because government knows best.
Today's Liberal = Socialist
They will deny and complain we don't know what socialist means. But we do. One is in the White House right now.

I've been wondering the same thing, but from what I've picked up from reading a lot of these questions I'm neither. I lean more toward the conservative side, but don't completely agree with them either.

Conservative: Asserts that they are for small government, but at the same time is obsessed with how people treat their own bodies, and maintains an unhealthy bigotry toward homosexuals.
Liberal: Claims anyone who disagrees with them is racist, blames every single bad thing throughout history on Bush 43, and wants to punish success and reward failure.
