No. SM Entertainment's website explicitly states that if you sign with the company, everything in preparation for your debut as a signer will be payed for by the company 100%. You may be confusing it with SM Academy. It's an off-shoot of SM Entertainment that offers dance, vocal, acting, and I believe modeling lessons that you pay for. I wouldn't think that they pay for it, I think they sort of pay them back after they debut with their earnings(plus extra profit). If they had to pay, they would have to pay thousands of dollars, and they'd have almost 0 trainees since most people wouldn't be able to afford it....Show more
