9 month old is refusing to eat?

For the past week she tight lips me if I try to give her puree (doesn't matter if store bought or home made). In the last two days she has also started to refuse finger foods (she might eat a bite or two..but that is it). She will take her bottle, but often leaves at least 2 oz unfinished. (she normally takes 6oz at a time, more if she obviously isn't done)

She is teething presently. She just had her two upper canines cut through and her upper central incisors look like they will be cutting through any day now. (and yes, I did say she's already cut two canines. it is very common in my family for canines to cut before incisors on top)

Is this something that I should call her pediatrician about or just wait and see if it is a phase related to her teething?

It's probably because she's teething. Teething can make it uncomfortable to suck on bottle or breast.

If she doesn't seem otherwise ill, and is still wetting diapers (4 ounces of formula at a time should be enough to keep her hydrated if yuo're offering every 2-3 hours during the day) there's no sense in calling the doctor.

Offer bottles often, let her eat what finger foods she enjoys (at 9 months, if she can eat finger foods she dosen't need purees anymore anyway), and once she's feeling better, she'll likely make up for any slowdown.

Of course if she DOES seem really ill and/or dehydrated, you call the doctor.

it is probably uncomfortable to eat with all those teeth coming through, she may just feel a little off. have you tried cold food that will be soothing like yoghurt?? also try letting her feed herself it will be messy but she might be more interested if she can do it herself. id say its a phase if it goes on more than a week id check with a doc but it sounds pretty normal :)
