3 of my housemates have had a lower GI "flu" in the last few days. (Last one just got it today. We share a bathroom and kitchen but I have separate dishes. I've been in the house but mostly in my bedroom with the door closed. Do you think I have any chance of escaping with my colon still intact?

Yes, they've all had an intestinal bug (no vomiting, no coughing/sneezing). I'm a nursing student, so you might say I'm a little obsessive about bleach, Purell, and hand washing. We'll see if that's enough :/

If I understand you correctly your pals have the belly bug so not so much a question of just sneezes but of keeping away from contact with their waste and bodily fluids droplets on surfaces too. If you maintain 100% good hygiene practices you can stay safe but being at around 95% of the time means you will probably get sick. Lots of Lysol and gloves and warm soap water etc.
Your call on if you can keep away from their nastiness.
It is possible. When one of them sneezes all the germs go everywhere and even if you touch one item they did and then touch your eyes or face or you eat something you can get it.
To help prevent it drink lots of orange juice and/or Emergen-C, it is packed full of vitamin C and other nutrients which lowers your chances of getting sick, plus anything with anti oxidants can help (dark chocolate, blueberries), plus wash your hands often.
