Do you think I'll get sick from this?

I was in my dorm, washing hands, and while I was turning the knob to turn water off, my hand slipped on the metal, and water got all over my face/nose/eyes. Some of it went into my nose. I wouldn't normally freak out so much about this except for the fact that there is a lot of illness going around, and flu is picking up (I am in FL.). Two things I should add that might be in my favor was that I had just sprayed the knob with lysol about 5 minutes earlier, and I had just gotten done washing my hands. My roommate had a cold last week, but I think its pretty much over with.

What do you think? Do I have a great chance of getting sick from this? I am a little worried because I have a busy week, and I am trying not to get sick. I may be obsessing over it, but I would like an honest opinion.

It's clean water, so you won't get sick from that. If you are afraid of getting the flu get some sambucol. You can get it at GNC or on the internet. The British did a study and it is effective against colds and flu and my family uses it. http://www.fluwikie.com/pmwiki.php?n=Consequences....

There is a slim chance but you could also have picked up a germ from anyplace else. If you do get sick, there's no way to know for sure where you got it from. I would just try to relax, keep washing your hands, make sure you get enough rest and stay hydrated.

    Best wishes.

Of course not. Unless these sick people or your roommate have been swimming around in the public water purification plant, the water's perfectly fine.

You are going to be fine. Take vitamins to withstand things like this. Have you ever taken the Airborne tablets to prevent getting sick? They work ok, but are just like taking a regular multivitamin every day.

It's just water calm down. Good luck on your busy week.

i think you'll be fine, because unless the water is used over and over again (which it obviously isn't) you can't get sick, because it is clean water...so don't freak out about it!

    okay hope this helps!
