Any USA Citroen DS or ID owners here?

For USA owners only: do you have a DS or an ID model? If so, what year is it? In what city do you live, and where is the closest mechanic to you that knows these cars (in what city?)

I once owned a 1963 DS19 that I sold in 1973. I wish I still had it and several more! Citroens, especially the Traction Avant, 2CV, GS, DS&ID, SM, CX, XM, BX, Xantia, and C6 are truly amazing creations. I am still a devotee of the Citroen "cult".
Search "Citroen car clubs" and you will be able to find lots of information and links. There are still Citroen mechanics in the USA and replacement parts are quite readily available.

@Mad Jack: the MAKE is Citroen, the MODEL is DS. (For example, Mustang. The MAKE is Ford, the MODEL is Mustang).

You're right, they're not "sold" here in the US because they're out of production. They were produced from 1955-1975, but importation into the US ceased approximately 1972.

These are wonderful, beautiful, unique, and amazing cars!

My dad has a '72(I think DS Pallas). She's at eternal rest in his garage in central Florida. He's too smitten to get rid of her, claiming she's curvier than his wife.I'm unsure why she's not running if indeed she isn't.A very lucky guy I know has a '73 SM(total eyegasm). He gets it serviced at a French specialist in Orlando,FL.If you're anywhere near California,Citroen Concours have a good reputation.

I don't think these are even sold here in the U.S. I have never seen this make here.
