My car is burning power steering fluid. Can I still drive for today?

Okay so my car is a honda accord 1999. It has always worked perfectly. I don't know anything about cars, but my dad does. Just yesterday, I noticed steam coming out of the hood. My car is marking cold so it's not the engine heating up, but rather, it is leaking power steering fluid and therefore it's steaming when it touches the engine. My girlfriend is having her graduation party from college today. We have planned this over 6 months ago, and she lives 1 hour away from me ( I live in Los Angeles). Is my car safe to drive just for today? I will be taking it to the mechanic first thing in the morning, but I can't miss today. Will I be safe? I have power steering fluid so I could always put some before and after I leave (once my car cooled down of course)

I would try to find the leak and tape it up with electrical tape. Because electrical tape can take high temperatures before melting or burning. This is just temporary fix.

No! Its not safe to Drive it whilst its still leaking regardless of topping up the fluid, once the engine heats up, the steaming flame can catch up a fire under the bonnet! get the Leakage rectified!
