My dog likes to catch tortoise's they are crawling in under my fence. I try to look before I let her out but they can be difficult to spot and I am afraid that she will chew them up. If this happens could this be dangerous for her. Can reptiles carry salmonella, and would that affect her? She caught one once and it was a job getting it away from her.
