Atheists and Christians who cite Einstein to prove the validity of your position - when are you?

GRR
ran out of room --

I keep reading posts from both Atheists and Christians proving their position as true by citing to Einstein ---

So, I got to wandering --
seeing as he was a paying member of the Conservative movement of Judaism,

are you all getting synagogue memberships too??

@rd68 - I wandered as I wondered
and sometimes my thoughts wandered

@Larry -
I'll try to elaborate for you -
Atheist on Y!A quotes an Eistein letter seeming to support the Atheist POV.
Said Atheist then triumphantly concludes "the religious are stupid - Einstein said so" (or something of the sort)
Christian on Y!A quotes an Einstein letter marveling about the greatness of God's creation.
Said Christian then triumphantly concludes "therefore Jesus! - Einstein said so" (or something of the sort)
-
So, seeing as Einstein seems to define their religious conviction for them, if they were to be consistant, it seems that they should follow through, and join Conservative synagogues.
Certainly, it seems that the Christians who argue in this manner are obligated to abandon Jesus, while the avid Atheists must also accept Einstein's angry letters where he complained about Atheist apropriation, and reject Atheism for Jewish Pantheism.

Your point is well taken, but some people do consider pantheism (or panentheism) to be a form of atheism.

-It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.-

- Albert Einstein, letter to an atheist (1954), quoted in Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas & Banesh Hoffman

Strike three, sparky. You're out.

People love to appropriate famous figures in order to bolster their argument (and bolster their ego). It usually involves a lot of quote-mining.

The truth is, people like Einstein (or, for that matter, Hitler, Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, & Stalin) have far too complex a relationship with religion to be easily appropriated. Complex people have complex relationships with religion & philosophy, and a few quotes proves nothing other than the ignorance of the person presenting said quotes.

Einstien validates the Theory of Relativity, nothing more.

And I've never heard anyone (theist or atheist) claim Einstein was proof that their beliefs were true.

Since G-d has exalted Christ Jesus above all, then it must follow that either Einstein in heart believed
G-d that He sent Christ to make Him known or Einstein did not believe like some of the Jewish people who have hardened their hearts and dont want to know the true G-d of Israel and Christ Jesus whom He sent. so when they reject Christ they reject all of us who believe the Lord G-d of Isreal. Yet Zechariah speaks of Christ and His suffering in Zecharia 12 verse 10
